Default Engine Coolant Temperature Plausibility & Evaporative Emission Purge Control Valve

I have this two codes:
69 Engine Coolant Temperature Plausibility
24 Evaporative Emission Purge Control Valve
Any hint for the troubleshooting?

Engine coolant temp code is your sensor that sits on one of your radiator hoses. Like 30 buck

For the code 69 Engine Coolant Temperature Plausibility I changed the coolant sensor two weeks ago. I don't have the code since this but the problem was intermitent. I don't sure yet if the problem is solved. For the code 24 Evaporative Emission Purge Control Valve I changed the fuel tank breather valve and the problem was solved. This code was present after each trip.

Which sensor did you change? There are two that I am aware of. My code comes up once in a blue moon. But its the same code 69. Last time I got it was in May.

Number 4. But I'm don't sure yet if this has solved my problem.

Do you have to drain the coolant to replace these sensors?

Thanks for any related info!

No, is very easy. You need to do this with a cool car (before turn on the engine the first time on this day).Don't remove the radiator cap. Remove the sensor electrical plug and then the sensor by pressing the two taps and put the new sensor. Make this with the car cool and don't remove the radiator cap to avoid a coolant spill.

From what I understand about the temp plausability code is that #4 controls the cooling fans, it is #18 that is the temp sender for the gauge/computer.

Good information, thanks! I changed #4 because I don't see any wrong in my gage. It is in the middle always after warming. As I said before, I don't know if my problem was fixed because the code was intemitent.
