home security monitoring service....who do you use?

Been with Emergency24 for a few yrs now...no issues. Cost is $20 a month, which is average I guess.

The payments go thru my electrician....i.e. middle-man. Cut the middle-man out = cut the fee?

I believe they are all about as useless as the other, best part of it is the audio alarm and even that has limited use. Most thieves are smash and grab.

Supposedly, I was reading an article that just by putting an alarm company sign on your front door/lawn is most effective at keeeping thieves away. I would have to say the most intimidating thing you can have is a large dog (or two) I am no theif, but if I was a theif, a house with a doberman/rottweiler would be last on my list of homes to steal out of.
