Default A couple pictures of the new mods on the car..

Well I had some Ksport's installed on the car as well as powdercoating my ZCP's in an anthracite color. The wheels have been on the car for a little while now and I haven't posted up any pictures yet so I figured I would. The color is pretty much identical to EAS's Storm Gray color on their website, its very hard to photograph to give an idea of the color. I'm running 15mm MS spacers on the front and when I get the replacements from EAS for the 10mm's for the rear they will go on the car as well.

So far I have no complaints about the Ksport's, I know a couple people ran them a year or so ago but they have redesigned certain components to address some NVH issues. I still find them to be on the noisy side right now but they have only been on the car for about 3 weeks and seem to be slowly settling in as they are not as noisy as when first installed. Like and idiot I did not, I repeat did not, replace the RSM's which I should have done.

The build quality on the coilovers looked to be very solid, they are pretty similar in weight when compared to the PSS10's I had. The components are all CNC milled and and appear to be solid. The car has settled a TON though, the rears probably dropped an inch and a half from install. The ride height in was set at 13.5/13 but has settled some since and needs to be raised.

Besides that stuff, I built a custom ski pass box into the car and mounted a Alpine Type R and a Alphasonik amp in the trunk. The sub takes up no trunk space and you can still use the seat insert. I opted for the speaker grill because I didn't want anyone banging the speaker cone with their elbows, it flows pretty well with the car IMO. I built the mounts out of MDF and used a line converter wired in exactly in the same place as the BSW kit, which I basically used for the install. Getting those mounts to fit was a huge pain in the a$$. There are so many lips and angles in the ski pass it took several versions to get a perfect fitment.

After all is said and done.. the sub really, really, helps out the audio system.. especially since the Type R has voice coils. Its essentially adding a whole additional tweeter into the car. You can turn the mids in the doors down and let the sub handle the bass which cleans up the whole sound. Its definitely worth doing on verts to improve the sound.

Please forgive the photography, I took the images on a super old camera and its struggles to focus in twilight conditions as you can see from the varied appearance of the car in the images. I took images a different times in the day so you could see the finish on the wheels.

Comments an criticism welcome!

Nice color on the wheels. Drop is nice, though looks very impractical.

It's a shame how much that rag top ruins the lines of the car...otherwise, I like

I agree, completely impractical describes it best, I have to basically stop before entering/departing anything. I'm going to raise the ride height though, just want to make sure its completely settled.

There's two kinds of folks on the forums, those who like the lines of the top and those who don't. I personally, and I know several other vert owners who agree, think the lines of the vert are better. I love the lines of the vert, especially when the top is down.

I agree if we're talking about the hardtop....but the rag top just looks like someone sewed a make-shift top together.

car looks great, but the drop seems too low, as discussed above.

Yep, and the 650 cab is even worse. looks like a freakin tent on top of a car. The thing that bothers me the most is that the roof line and C-Pillar are such integral design pieces and the rag throws it all out of the window. IMO the only cabs that look decent are cars that are designed around it and have NO coupe options (S2000, Miata, etc...) or hardtop cabs (SL, Lexus, etc....). Another really bad one....a 911 cab. Talk about screwing up the lines of a piece of art. OUCH
