Default 24h Spa was this weekend.... results herein.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_24...pa#Race_result

Nearly a first place BMW finish if not for a broken steering component with 40 minutes remaining. Congrats to Flying Lizard's Jorg Bergmeister and Pat Long who each had wheel time in the top two cars. As mentioned elsewhere, it's too bad the engine's in the wrong place. Better luck next time, Porsche.

Factory M3s went 3-4, btw.

Porsche scored a 1-2 finish at Spa, with the #23 BMS Scuderia Italia Porsche finishing 1st in GT2 and overall. The #79 GTN-classed BMW had led for more than 22 hours of the race, but a broken steering component with 40 minutes to go erased the one-lap lead they'd held, promoting the #23 to the race lead and the #16 to its eventual 2nd place finish. Long and his teammates finished a scant 1:16.822 seconds behind the victors, roughly half of one lap of the ultra high-speed track. As always, changing weather played a major factor in the Ardenne forest, with teams responding and reacting to fog, rain and dry conditions time and again in the race.
