I've lurked around this forum and E46F for years, but didn't pull the trigger on an M3 until last month. I always loved the shape and feel of the M3 since I saw one (and rode in it) back in 2001. Something about the exhaust note is just intoxicating - to say the least.
The basic plan is to go for about 30-40 extra hp, improve the handling, and replace all of the worn parts. May get a CSL trunk and a good BBK if funds allow. The M3 won't be a daily driver because I plan on taking the train or ride a bike to work most of, if not all of the week. First thing I have to do is remove ALL the tint on the windows...German inspection doesn't allow tint on the driver and passenger side windows, and I don't like it anyways. Let the games begin. |

My bad! It is Carbon Black...
If a Mod could change the title, it would be appreciated. |

Installed matte black kidney grills and fender grills. Also installed the 330d shifter and a new knob.
Shifting feels much more direct, definitely worth the money. Install notes on the short shift install * Reused the stock shift boot. Just cut it about an inch from the bottom of the shift knob (Had to pull a little glue off a bit). Had to jack up the car and pull back the heat shielding to get my hands in there and get the job done. Didn't use the yellow plastic washers or the new clip that comes with the kit from getbmwparts.com. The stock clip is easier to get on and off. |

Planned mod list after inspection II is complete:
Vogtland Springs (here) Koni Shocks (fronts here but rears in the mail) Camber Kit (if necessary) Intake (haven't decided which) Headers (haven't decided which) Exhaust (haven't decided which) Cams (maybe...) Tune Recaro Sportster CS (Black Leather) OEM CSL Rims or Alufelgen SF-71s (gunmetal) VCSL Front Bumper (maybe...have to repaint the front bumper anyways) VCSL Trunk (if I get the front, may as well get the rear too) |

Went to BMW today.
Ordered new armrests for both sides, insanely expensive damn mothereffin (insert other explitives here)...window trim for both sides, BMW emblems all around, M3 emblem, hood grill, shark fin rubber, and a few other things. It should all be in this week. Koni Yellows and Vogtland Springs (1" drop all around) go in this weekend. Will I need a camber kit? Or just adjustable rear arms? I really don't want to drop another 3 Bills on a set if I don't have to. |

You won't need camber plates for your drop. It's only for aggressive track setups or a super low stance where you need to run neg camber in order to fit.
PS. For future reference... go to getbmwparts.com (tischer) and order your OEM parts. MUCH cheaper and great customer service.
