Makes no difference what headlight you have. The aftercooler is behind the sc head.

So you're saying you can safely run more than 5-6 psi on stock internals??? That would make me very uneasy. I know two people (one who turboed and one who s/c) and were pushing between 10-15 psi and both ended up blowing their engines (one the headgasket and the other bent a rod).

It's pretty safe up to 9 psi (that's what I'm running, 3.33" sc pulley, 38#/hr injectors, 3.5" hfm, Aquamist 1S, and a AA tune.) With a good tune and alcohol/water injection. They blew out a hg because they were boosting more than 9. 10-15 is just stupid.

Just over 300 on a DynoDynamics. Probably about 320 on a Dynojet.

The rods are generally good up to at least 550 wheel.

AA sells stage II supercharger kits running 12-13 psi for use with the stock headgasket. The centrifugal supercharger makes very little midrange boost so the cylinder pressure is not so dangerous. With a stage II turbo, all 12-13 psi would be there in the midrange so a thicker HG to reduce compression (or lower CR pistons) is used. As stated above, people have used stock rods in 600 rwhp engines making over 500 lbs rwtq.

I used a 0.098 HG to reduce CR from 10.5:1 to about 9.8:1. Again, stock pistons, rings and rods are find. I have since changed to a turbo for more power. I changed the HG from the 0.098 to a 0.140 to drop CR to about 8.9:1 for the turbo since full boost will arrive by 4000 rpm instead of only at redline with the centrifugal supercharger.
