Damn cops, always messing with people. What law did they claim you broke? I am sure the brake lights were still more than bright enough considering how much brighter the LEDs are than the old bulb tails were, and those were legal...

the cop was a total douche when he pulled me over. first thing he said when he came up to my window was "why are you driving like an idiot ? i saw you speeding up and down blah blah street and i just caught you on your way back " lucky enough for me, i wasn't even close to whatever road he mentioned. I told the officer so he said he was going to give me a negligent but he will "let that go" freaking lying bastard. then he goes to his motorcycle, comes back and tells me, did you know red taillights were required, and i am like no. then he goes and asks me "how much did this car cost you with all the upgrades and tickets " i told him alot and he said " well we are gonna keep nickel and dimming you until you go bankrupt " what a great closing statement for a traffic stop. So i decided i must keep the car completely legal (including front license plate) or they will never leave me alone.

I actually REALLY like that look. Its like retains the stock look of red and white, but kinda toned down a bit.

I would have told the officer that I had recorded his comments and that they would be on the 5:00 news if he cared to watch it, then handed him the business card of my lawyer and that I was going to sue him for harassment and that I would attach to his bond for operations as a police officer.

Its not that difficult to do and when it occurs they can not pull any duty but desk duty. Out of control officers like this guy need to be put back in line and understand they work for US, not for their own delusions of grandeur...

I was pulled over recently for no front plate and had to point out to the officer that if he wrote me a ticket I would require that his superviosr write one to him for operating a police vehicle with only 1 headlight (his passenger side light was out). And also for driving in an unsafe manner when he cruised out of the donut shop and bounded across the sidewalk and curb, which is what made me notice he had no headlight, which was before he could even see my front plate so he was not responding to any official police situations.

no offense, but tinted taillights completely ruin the m3.

the smoked up front and clear in the rear also kind of ruins the flow of the car colors.

i would do what ur friend suggested - worry about suspension and wheels.

I did a light to medium tint over the whole assembly to match the sides and fronts on my WB back in the day. On silver it will look great and actually thinking of doing the same thing with the vert I have now.

Ended up tinting mine with Lamin-x Gunsmoke tail tint. Cut the tint off the clear sections. Came out well and love the new look. Only got pics inside the garage since it was too dark. I will be posting up daytime pics tomorrow after work.

The gunsmoke is a perfect color. I didn't want super dark, as I wanted to leave some red. It gave the red parts a cherry smoked color, which is exactly what I was aiming for. Very happy with the outcome.

Letting them cure overnight and then finishing up some corners/edges tomorrow after work
