Default Bringing Red back to life.

I just bought this e30 M3 from a nice gentleman in Orlando Florida.. He had bought the car as a project but I guess he didnt have time to get it done. So I bought the car and I knew what I had to do to bring it back to life.. The body of the car is great shape, as it has all the original panels.. The engine is in great running order as well, the only problem was the paint and the interior..

So here is my plan..

1. Give it a complete respray
2. Redo the interior in BLK
3. Either freshen up the s14 or swap it with a euro s50b32 and a 6 speed trans.
4. Freshen up the suspension with coilovers or H&R springs with Bilsteins
5. Install all new brakes
6. Install a decent sound system

finally give it full inspection and detail it.. Here is pics of the car and the progress.

Loading of the truck.

inspection and strip time..

now taking out the engine since we have to paint the engine bay.

The engine was painted with undercoating, so we had to use paint remover to clean it all up. Then we will prep the bay for paint..

we also did the bodywork on the car just to make sure everyting was nice and smooth..

then we primed the car, so we can sand and block it..this will get it ready for paint but we have to prep it for the paint after we are done with sanding and blocking..

after that process was done, we went ahead and painted the engine bay and all the edges..

stay tuned for more pics to come.. I have 4 e30 M3's that I am working on.. I own 3 and one belongs to my cousin.

I went with Ferrari Red since it more red than the stock Brillantrot.. The Brillantrot has orange in it and the Ferrari has violet so it gives it a more of a deep red color.. Besides you cant go wrong with Ferrari anything..lol

All the work is being done at my Body shop in Chicago.. Its called Wizard Werks.

Awesome!
The e30 made me realize cars are more than just transportation.
Currently own a 1990 e30 325ix as my winter snow romper.
