It's pretty much like the title states....which is better...pros and cons
I've settled on the "CSL" look for my 06' Silver Gray M...shocker,I know... Anyways I'm trying to decide what wheel to get.If I have this right the ZCP's are 19x8 in the front and the VB3's are 19x8.5 in the front(which is more like the real CSL wheel). The VMR's are a lot cheaper and this my biggest concern I don't want to buy an inferior wheel. Please let me know what your our take on these wheels gentlemen....Tischer's got a great price on the ZCP's,but on the other hand if the VMR's are a true equal, then it's decision time... Oh...I like the silver finish on the wheels...fwiw |

This has been discussed several times in the past, and essentially what most people have boiled it down to was that VMR was less expensive, there are more color options, they are .5" wider than the ZCP's and they're also a bit more readily available (unless you consider used ZCP's on this forum).
ZCP's are REAL, which I guess accounts into some members decisions, they are a bit lighter but you also have to consider they're just a tad smaller in width, and they look great, but then, so do the VB3's from VMR. It's a tough call but personally I would take VB3's over ZCP's unless I was trying to make the car super clean, and have all OEM parts... Any aftermarket parts on the car in terms of body work, I would go straight to VMR instead. That's just my opinion though, and what I've seen on this forum.

OEM BBS ZCP hands down. They are readily available from Tischer all the time brand new.

VMR's build quality is not inferior.
Look for look, the ZCP's are closer to the CSLs.

VMRs are good and they are cheaper than ZCP. ZCP looks prettier to me. ZCP spoke angles are perfect. VMR tends to have a rounded curve to the spoke and doesn't cave in as deep as the ZCP rears. Probably a no big deal but I'm weird like that.

really depends how anal you are about your car. People that get reps regardless of brand always end up switching down the road and going with OEM. You really can't replicate OEM no matter how you slice it. There is a difference between the front and rear wheel besides just ET. Weight is also a difference. If you are into OEM parts don't make the mistake in buying a rep because in the long run you were replace them with OEM's. I've learned this mistake in almost all of my mods. Don't deal with something less then what you want because in the long run you will still want the best product. Well, I guess this is the same theory in all of life. Just my 2 cents

The more I see cars with silver VMR wheels (including my own E36 M3) the more and more I don't like them. They just don't look anything like real ZCPs. And, the extra .5" front width is totally moot... makes no difference in a street wheel other than *looks*.
Now, the matte black or gunmetal reps look very sharp.... totally changes the shape/contour of the spokes.
