OP - if someone was to use some fixed bucket seat like the RPP on this CSL seat bracket, is there a possible way to just unlatch right where that side cable on the seat meets the bottom of the seat bracket?

for example, just hide the retracting cable under the seat for the meantime.

I suppose it would be possible to attach the cable to any fixed rpp seat on the bracket if you're willing to do some fabrication. The tilt function of the bracket is such that the portion that attaches to the seat separates from the base of the bracket. Otherwise if you're not interested in the tilt functionality in the interim you could simply remove the cable from the bracket without compromising anything.
