I suppose there are at least two versions of the battery. One with venting tubes and the other does not.

What would be the non-OEM completely sealed replacement?

Hi!

Bought my battery from autozone 1.5 years ago for ~$100, works fine.

Good luck!

It's even white like the original!

What is the exact part or model number of this battery??!!! Need a battery ASAP!!!

Hi Roy, I wasn't sure which battery you are asking about -

Exide Battery from Walmart: Maxx-94RN
Duralast from Autozone: 94R-DLG

Hi,

Sorry for my confusion but I just needed a replacement battery for my car since it's dying and I'm finding it hard to start in my -30 degrees celcius weather here!!

Are all those batteries you listed above vented? And are those the right model numbers I use when I call around?

Thanks,

Yes, absolutely. The Optima, which I put in my car is not vented, but a sealed design. You need to make a slight modification to get this to fit. If you are looking for a direct replacement, just go to walmart and get the exide battery mentioned above. No need to shop around, for $77 its already the lowest price. The Duralast battery will be a bit more if for some reason you don't have a walmart around..

And yes, the duralast and exide direct replacement batteries are the vented design.

Unfortunately, Canada sucks and their walmarts don't carry that Maxx-94RN direct replacement.

I guess it's off to the dealer.

No! You cannot! The dealer will charge an arm and a leg to replace that battery. You must have an Autozone? If not, buy an Optima and have it shipped to you. I switched over 6 months ago and I love it! Side note, I prefer to keep my car all all original, so if I did this mod it did not deviate much from the theme of the car. Let me know if you need further help.

LOL! Trust me, the dealer is my last resort! Canada sucks for everything especially car parts - even OEM!!! I don't have an Autozone and WALMART doesn't stock MAXX type batteries.

I heard that having our batteries vented is extremely important due to it being a explosive hazard. How are you dealing with that going the Optima route?
