Default Is this a "Clown Nose" Mirror?

I'm looking to add the OEM alarm to my '01 M3, and am unsure if I have the clown nose mirror? There is a hole at the bottom of the mirror, but I believe it to be a sensor to see the headlights behind me to dim. It doesn't protrude from the mirror, it's recessed in. Can someone look at the photo and tell me if I need to upgrade my mirror for the alarm indicator light? It does not blink.

Thanks for your help!
Patrick

Nope, it's not. The "clown nose" is a big red light on the bottom edge of the mirror. And the clown nose mirrors are rectangular.

Yup, mine has the clown nose and is oval.

AFAIK, the clown nose mirror isn't required for the OEM alarm - it just adds the blinking red light theft deterrent (and if you do have the clown nose but have no alarm, it still blinks).

I have the oval clown nose mirror too. I prefer the looks of that one over the square one.
