Default ///Mfest Front Plate Holder (Pics Inside)

I finally got around to installing my Mfest plate holder. If anyone is interested talk to Chris (Laidback) on the Mfest forum.

Install was super easy, took about 10 minutes. AND, best of all, my front plate is now quick release!

Truthfully, I wish I didn't have to run a front plate. WA state sucks!

too bad you already have the plugged holes in the bumper from the previous location. Front plates = Thats the only advantage of living in PA.

It's nice, but not worth the steep price tag, IMHO.

I went with the Rho-Plate:

http://www.rhoplate.com/

It doesn't have the quick-release, but it is solidly built with 15 possible mounting location options with angle adjustments. Regardless, all of these license plate mounts are over-priced, IMHO.

I really want the MFest quick release plate but at $179 I just can't do it. I saw they did a group buy which i messed and had them at $129 I think. Even at that its still kinda high but I would have probably sprung for it. I just can't do it at the normal price.

Yeah WA sucks. But... I had no front plate for a year and a half, then slapped on a europlate which I have had for the last 6 months and never been pulled over. On a side note, my buddy ran no front plate for a month in the same area and was pulled over twice in one month. Who knows, but I will be mounting a normal plate soon, hopefully before my luck runs out.

I just carry around a broken front plate bracket and say that someone backed into me and broke it, and a new one is on order. Seems to have worked so far. Only time I can see it not working is if the cop wants to be a d!ck and give you a warning for it so its on record for the next guy who stops you.

How does the quick release work? Can someone steal your plate?

I think you use a wrench to it releases. If someone doesn't know they probably wont go though the trouble since its the rear plate you really need but if they know anyone can quick release it.
