Read the official BMW policy on the paint care and paint warranty exclusions.

No thanks.

they write that to cover the idiots that don't know what to do/clean. It is no different then the paint on your car. The matte look is acheived by using a flattening agent in the clearcoat.

I've always liked matte black as an exterior color. Unique.

Wrong! You cannot wax this paint, if you do it will look shiny in areas, and not as shiny in others. You also have to wash it/dry it differently. It requires very different care compared to normal paint.

Yeah I would essentially never wash my car if I went matte. It would be as simple as spray on some P21S (something safe) and just rinse. Wouldn't even bother touching it with my soft mitts.
