Default 2006 M3 engine block cracked HELP!!!

I was just driving and I could smell smoke have a 2006 M3 conv SMG, saw white smoke after an investigation saw a piece was missing from the engine block and oil spewed everywhere? Why would this happen? Just out of warrenty!!!!! Help!!! Any advice, was this something I did? I have pics..where can I post them they are in an album if you can click on them Thanks in advance! Sarah.

That is a blown engine, no doubt about it. Cannot fix it either, will need a new engine.

No cheap way around this one but the cheapest route would be to find an engine in some junkyard and swap it.

What did you do to blow the engine? They just don't blow from driving normally.

Any recent maintenance done on the car? May have been some over torqued nuts and bolts. Sorry for this.

When was the last time you checked the oil? Was the car running hot?

Did you drive through any standing water or have any dumped over the nose of the car? If you ingest water into the motor it can crack the block..
