I am going to be replacing one of my front calipers and had a questions concerning bleeding the brakes. I have have taken the caliper off the rotor and bled my brakes before but am a little unsure how I go about removing the caliper off the car and what to do with brake fluid.
Do I want to drain all the brake fluid out so it won't spill out when I undo the caliper? Do I want to take the caliper off and then plug the brake fluid hose? I know I need to bleed the brakes after I complete the installation. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! |

then disconnect the brake line from the caliper and catch the fluid in some can, dont get it on the paint, not much will come out, tie it up to your spring on your front suspension or something. Once you are done with that, remove the caliper, you just undo the caliper pins, 12mm ro close socket head boltsand then wiggle it off with the pads, should slide right off so long as you did step one. Read these it will make sense. http://m3.madrussian.net/diy_front_brake_pads.shtml http://m3.madrussian.net/diy_front_brake_lines.shtml
