Default Conervting Stock Nav to OEM Single Din?

I'm wishing to convert the stock nav on my E46 to a Kenwood KDC-X794 single din unit. Been told all I need is a dash kit but have so far been unsucessful to find one. Also been told I would have to basically convert the dash by bringing the climate control up as stock single din for it to work properly.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for no help. Converting my car to stock single din with the CC up. Figured this was the best and cheapest option.

First off, gman, I needed a kit for double DIN to fill the gaping hole that would be left after removing the Nav. I already checked Google, Amazon, and Ebay for kits and found only kits explicitly for aftermarket Nav.

Second off, I want to replace the stock Nav because it is crap. The stereo itself is very nice and have had no problems but the Nav is crap. I'd rather remove the dead weight and get something useful which is an aftermarket unit to help power my new system. I'm putting in two 12" kickers and need something, other than a bass knob, to separately adjust the sub bass levels.

Best way to swap OEM Nav to non Nav is to sell the car and buy another without it.

Alternatively, strip out everything and start as though you had no ICE at all.
