If you're just looking for a short term quick fix, ebay will probably be best. If you are doing this to keep the car for a while Advance Auto Parts has a good quality alternator. A lot of folks don't like staying with the OE Valeo alt.

Thanks, I will check into that. Mine went out yesterday and some thing tells me that the $500 that the store is charging me for a new one is total BS - especislly since they are often for sale on here for less than half of that.

Probably a good idea to do the belts, idler pulley, and belt tensioner depending on how many miles you have. I just checked Advance - 20% off and free shipping brings the cost of the alt down to $156.
