Default Bavauto CDV unlock valve + clutch line question

I was wondering if anyone has used the bav auto unlock valve when doing their CDV.

I'm thinking of performing the CDV delete and basically want to know if just ligating the hydraulic lines that are already present is ok, or whether its worth inserting this valve in place of the restricted one.

I've attached a photo/description of part.

In addition, what is your all's recommendation regarding putting in the UUC ss braided clutch line while down there. Everything's stock for now, and I only want to do this once and do it right/have it last with no issues.

cstern already offered a response in another thread, but just decided to make it a new thread since this might offer people in the future some insight in how to go about getting everything done down there once and correctly:

There has been the occasional claim that the clutch line is not long enough to delete the CDV all together. From my understanding, the Bavauto piece simply would fill the gap left by the actual CDV valve. If your clutch line will reach, no need for it. Those who have the UUC braided clutch line will have no issue since it is longer than the stock line and only $29. Chances are it won't be a piece of UUC crap since they probably didn't actually manufacture the line.

I've heard that there *is* enough line on ours to do it without the replacement piece. At any rate, tons of people have done it and not reported issues. I'll be doing it this winter when I do my rotors/pads/lines/flush.

The OEM line is plenty long to just plain delete. I'm a complete OEM wh**e and I think very long and hard before altering ANY of the engineering on the car. I deleted mine. I haven't looked back since I pulled that stupid thing out and threw it in the garbage, where it belongs.

I have this installed right now. I really havent noticed a difference in clutch feel, but when you look at the inner diameter openning compared to the stock CDV, its clearly larger and allows more fluid to move about ...

If the ID is smaller than the main hydro line ID you are creating a restriction and your clutch performance is suffering. Got rid of mine in the first week I had my car and never looked back.

I think the purpose of buying those hollowed out valves was just to make it look like you hadn't altered anything for warranty purposes.
