Default Previous owner audio install

Is this repairable, should I be worried if I'm going to upgrade anyways? Previous owner did a custom audio install. Aftermarket, alpine if I remember, front tweeters and speakers. It appears that he, for some reason cut the wires going to the front tweeters. They are the same on both sides. The aftermarket speakers are still in place and working for the most part but not to their fullest I'm guessing because he removed the amp he had going to them.

Looks like a simple fix: some solder and same gauge wire and you're done.

When Installing a new set of 6.5 Components you really only need the 4 wires per door, one for the Larger Driver and one for the Tweeter

he has it where the speaker wire for the 6.5 goes into a crossover then to the 6.5 and tweeter. I think I want to go back to a stock setup like the BSW speakers. Do you know what gauge that tweeter wire is?

Why go back. No offense to BSW (they fill a very nice niche in the market and their stuff is better than BMWs, no doubt), but depending on the component set in the car, you'll likely be much better off with the aftermarket speakers/amp than BSW and stock amp. If you have the skills to correctly solder the wires back together, you're not the target audience of the BSW kits in my opinion anyway.
