Thanks Jamie

I currently have the short version Jaffster which is NLA but am moving up to the 6 inch larger version. The closer my hand is to the wheel the happier I am.

my current interior...

moving to this...

Ah nice and clean.

But my dirty mind is telling me it looks kinda pornographic...

btw, liking your steering wheel, has a very nice concavity to it...is that a personal? Which model? I've been looking at the Personal Grinta but not sure if it has a concave face.

Dry cleaners usually use cheapo wire hangers. Some other stiff, thin wire would probably work, but it has to be pretty stiff or it'll just bend when you try to pull the seal out.

Tried again with the shaft seal when I got home tonight. Didn't bother to wear my mechanix gloves on top of the nitrile I was wearing which was a bad decision. Ended up cutting my palm with a pick and I was just about to call it quits.

Had dinner and took a bit of break and tried one last time and viola! Bish finally came off!

Now trying to install new shifter bushings with my ssk. Called it a night as I'm not able to line up the Delrin shifter carrier bushing with the hole so I can insert the shifter arm pin. Tried to reseat the carrier multiple times and checked with a small flathead if the holes are lining up which they seem to be but the pin still wasn't going in.

Man, sounds like you're having a hell of a time...

I'm going in there probably today or tomorrow to swap out my shift lever for a Z3 (wish I'd have done this when I refreshed the bushings a couple years ago) and replace the shift rod seal and the output seal. Hope mine goes better than yours...

I will be dropping the exhaust and DS, so that should be a *huge* help...

SUre am having a hell of a time...

Now that I've got everything off, I thought that installation would be an easier time... I just finished filing off the delrin bushings so that when I try to insert the pin, I won't have much resistance. I'll try later or maybe tomorrow, hopefully I can finally finish with this task.

Finally got the shifter arm pin in there...

And the struggle continues... Shifter rod coupler with the bishas foam and pin...

I'll try my luck again tomorrow as I've used up my strength for the night trying to push that coupler in...
