Question M3 Noob Needs Help Selecting Brake Rotors

Hey Guys,

Just a friendly warning: this will be my first of about a gazillion questions that I'm going to have shortly about my newly purchased M3. I realize that there's probably been a few thousand 'brake rotor' threads, and I tried the search function, but couldn't seem to find any current info. So, if you wouldn't mind helping a brother out...I'm not looking to go BBK, just looking for some quality drilled/slotted replacement rotors.

I've been looking on Ebay (gag) at the R-1 concept rotors and the centric/Stptech rotors as well. Are these decent rotors and what's your preference between the two, or does anyone have other suggestions??? Also, I would prefer to do business w/a vendor on here vs. Ebay if someone could direct me to one that has reasonable prices! TIA!!

The Centric rotors are just fine.

As far as a vendor, forum sponsor Works Concepts has very good prices. Easily the lowest I could find when I was doing my brakes.

stoptech/centric are good.

i'd stay away from the ebay brands. you'll get the "why are my rotors already warped?" thread after that. and then someone will argue with this comment and i probably won't post again in here.

my key to rotors is a good reliable brand for a good price will give me the most life from the rotors. fyi, i plan on going with dba through oakville motorwerks.

+1 on the Centric rotors, I just had a set installed myself. Check out TireRack too, they had slightly better prices. I've dealt w/ Works Concepts in the past too, excellent prices & service.

Other than what has been said there isn't much else to recommend. Pad choice is up to you.

Either spend more on Performance Friction rotors or spend a lot more on a BBK. That's about it.
