I'll concede that Hondas are probably better 10 years and 150k miles out, but anyone who's had a Honda produced in the last fifteen years or so and has gotten it to 125k+ miles can tell you they're not exactly problem-free, and when something goes, it's damned expensive.
I wouldn't take a Ford over Nissan, Subaru or Mazda either, but then I guess I've just seen too many POS Fords on the road.

New Ford's are excellent quality cars. Neither of the others are really better.

Ekaru, you get one car -- Mustang V8 or G37S/370Z?

^This...

The aforementioned Nissans couldn't hold a candle to the benchmark M3, whereas the Mustang GT seems to offer virtually the same performance for significantly less:

albeit, it's rougher around the edges, but those Nissans aren't in the same league..
The 2011 Mustang is a very different animal from the 2010 in a very good way...

I'd take a 135i or probably the Nissan/Infiniti. Not doubting the commendable performance and handling improvements of the Ford, but the image and styling are not my cup of tea.

And with all due respect to JD Power and whomever else, I think the BMW and to a lesser extent the Nissans, are just better resolved cars with a higher quality feel and better fit and finish than the Mustang.

Modern Fords feel great inside. The real flaw with the Mustang is your co-owners.
