I just replaced my wiper blades and found the same problem as Kaveh. the blade on each side does not touch the windshield in the middle at the bottom of the windshield. We tried two sets at the dealership. Also, the driver side touches the passenger side arm. My previous ones worked just fine which were the originals with the deflector shield. Any further info? I would like to be sure before I try and bend anything. Thanks! Regards, Loay |

I've never had an issue with the OE blades/arms:

I have the same problems with the original (old style) OE wiper blades. They streak (even after putting new inserts in) and splatter at highway speeds as Obioban mentioned. I'm going to swap in the new style blades. Anyone know what the difference between the OE blades and the Bosch blades is? The Bosch looks the same as OE to me (both old and new).
OE old style = 61619071613 Bosch old style = 3397001394 OE evo flat blade = 61610037009 (US) / 61610037027 (EURO) Bosch Icon = 422B419B

FWIW - the ones I have on now are model number 61610037009.
I am told to remove the middle plastic piece.. I may just go to Napa instead. Regards, Loay |

I just saw this thread and remembered I need new wipers too.. Going to search now but why not just get the refils at 5 bucks instead of the new assembly?

FWIW, I use Anco narrow refills on the original wipers during the summer. They are cheap, easy to replace, and effective. I like to use the newer style during the winter, sort of like snow blades. So far, the new style has seen three winters in New England (ok, two really as this winter hasn't been one, but last year should count as two?) and is pretty good. There is a spot on one blade where it must have a nick as it leaves an arc when it wipes. Overall, they are nice, but I don't know that they are worth the extra price.

These don't require any kind of modification to the wiper arms?
