Default *Updated* 7.84 sec Gintani Supercharged E46 M3 60-130 record.

5/18/11
Obviously this isn't a record for the worlds fastest E46 M3, nor was it ever meant to be. Cars like the HPF Stage 2.5, 3 and 4 or Taza's Active Autowerkes car are much faster vehicles and were specifically built to achieve ridiculous 60-130 times. Those are built motors, high boost, turbo equipped vehicles which cost anywhere from $25,000 to $60,000 to build.

However, as far as stock motor, supercharged E46 M3's go in our community the previous record was held by a great friend of mine and the King of 60-130 times DLSJ5 in his 2005 SMG E46 M3. The previous 60-130 record for the fastest Stock Motor, Supercharged E46 M3 was 8.67 seconds. A very impressive time, which no other supercharger kit was able to out perform for the longest time. This specific vehicle was equipped with a VF Stage 2+ (T-trim Vortech blower),Headers, Gears, Drag Radials, MS109 Race Gas and Meth. A quick search on Youtube and you'll see this car is no slouch, his car Dynod 500rwhp on a DynoJet on MS109 race gas and ran an impressive 11.58 @ 122 MPH quarter mile.

So now that we've established the point of this thread, and reviewed a little bit of E46 M3 history its time to move forward. After being asked by numerous fellas what my car's 60-130 times were after hearing about a few cars I've been able to pull on in the short time I've had the kit, I became curious myself. So come Sunday night some friends and I drove down to our secret spot to record some 60-130 times. My car is a 2006 6-speed manual, equipped with the Gintani Stage 2 supercharger, OEM CSL headers, HPF stage 2 clutch and running 91oct Pump Gas with Meth. With this exact setup it made 487rwhp on Gintani's heart breaking DynoDynamics (Approx. 525rwhp on DynoJet). Getting to the point, I was only able to do 3 runs because I forgot to fill up my meth tank before going and its important to note that I'm using some of the baldest tires ever, so traction was kicking my a** However, I still managed to run a solid 8.49 second 60-130, a new Record!!! So, obviously Drew was the first person I texted and sent my VBOX run to.

There is no doubt in my mind, once I mount the brand new RE-11's sitting in my garage, add MS109 race gas and take a few more attempts I can knock off a decent amount of time from my own record time. This should happen within the next week, so sit tight!!!

UPDATE!!! NEW RECORD Read this!

12/5/11
After much anticipation it looks like the bar has been set even higher.

Just to recap, In May I broke the record for the fastest 60-130 mph time for a Stock Motor, Supercharged E46 M3. I did this with no intentions of ever beating the old record which had been held by my buddy Drew (DLSJ5), and happened to be 8.67 seconds. I went out on pump fuel, on bald tires, with hardly enough methanol to last me for 3 pulls. I ended up logging in a best time of 8.49 seconds, a new record and still till this day the fastest anyone has done in this particular class.

Even though the record has yet to have been beaten, It killed me knowing the car had more in it. So last night I went out and gave it another go, this time I came prepaired. I used MS109 race gas instead of 91oct, filled my methanol tank to the top and used better NT01 tires.
The results..... 7.84 seconds 60-130 mph.

I would like to thank the guys at Gintani for building me a car that has exceeded my own expectations and I'm certain everyone elses as well. It has been a beautiful 15,000 miles since the installation of this kit, on and off the track.

The first graph is of the 8.49 second run and the second graph is of the 7.84 second run.

I also submitted it to 6speedonline, where it was validated and posted on their table of 60-130mph data.

Thanks brotha, I wanted to call you but it was 12am and I know you live a long drive away. So it wouldn't have been worth it for you to just come out for an hour and then go back.
