Group Buy: Evolve Carbon Airbox

Hi all,

Due to the great response you guys have had we have decided to officially open up a group buy for our Carbon Airbox for the E46 M3, packaged together with our evolve-R cable and Alpha-N tuning.

Some information on the box itself:

The left side (first part of the box) is based on the traditional OEM CSL airbox. It is not a replica (i.e. it does not have the BMW logo etc but the internal dimensions are in the style of the original) but an incredibly high quality piece based on the original. The box is made from pre-preg carbon as well as the trumpets. We also include an inlet tube running from the airbox down to the cold air feed.

Our units are top, top quality. As you will know, the CSL sound is what people look for more than anything and from experience (my previous car was a CSL) it mirrors the sound and then some, unlike quite a few we have heard. This is mainly due to the acoustic characterists of the internal space and material used - harder, better quality carbon produces better sound. We've had 2 customers with alternate CSL boxes buy ours after hearding it!

They are extremely well made (you will not find better carbon!). The production is made by a company who manufacture OEM carbon as well as WRC, F1 etc... we were very restricted of what we could show of the inside of the offices! They have never previously produced anything aftermarket so we feel special they decided to only work with us.

With our remote tuning cable, all this is done remotely. You read your ECU, send us the file, we tune it and send it back. The tune is Alpha-N enabled, meaning it removes the necessity for your MAF (which is removed when installing the airbox).

RRP for the box is $3,300, and the evolve-R unit is RRP $999 ($4,299 total)

We have decided to launch this group-buy, with a minimum of 10 units, at: $3,400! plus shipping (estimated to be $120) *Update: Best shipping quotes we could find are $212 via TNT. There will be a deposit required of at least $1,000 only when we have the boxes ready to start production (after the existing UK group buy batch has completed).

If we reach 20 units, the cost will be $3,300 and include FREE all the fitting parts including temp sensor kit, air valves, hose and clamps (except SMG relocation kit)

Optional extras:

Fixtures and fittings required to fit: $100 (worth $300)
SMG Resorvoir Relocation Kit: $245

Existing Evolve US customers - You pay only the difference between your recent purchase and the group buy price

Please contact me for exact details. Future tuning, upgrading of tunes to take other mods into account, is charged at $150 per tuning file and is generally required for headers/cat removal

I will point out that the airbox in the video of the first car, is not a good replica of the OEM box.

Paul, I purchased the Evolve R tune last week, can that amount be subtracted from the group buy price?

I would have signed up for this group buy, and put those funds towards the airbox/tune.
