Has anybody run a set of the 265/35/18s on a square OEM setup?
I'm hoping to run the 4 oem rears on stock suspension with these tires. Any reviews on the tire would be awesome. |

I am no help on your question, but curious about the tires. I am not familiar with Federal tires. What is about them you find attractive? Is it price or availability?
Thanks.

I am not familiar with the brand you are looking to use, however most 265-35-18 should be fine with stock set up.

Only looking at them because of the price point. ($165/tire)
Since im new to the track, I am not looking for ultimate grip...just tires that can withstand the heat and abuse. http://www.federaltire.com/en/html/p...&pdline=3&ID=3 |

Track-wise I havent run them yet but I put them on the other day before i went TDY again. I'll be running them the weekend of the 18th-19th so I'll know how they are then. Tonester said he liked these tires so I decided to give them a shot. btw I am running 255/35/18 as the 265 size isnt available in the U.S. right now.

Doh, did you try online tires? Says they have it in stock online. The 265's are already smaller than stock diameter, the 255/35's would start to get too small for my liking. |

Online tires and timesavings are the only 2 sources I know for this tire. Both said the 265 is out with no date for stock and the 255 had a stock level of 6, I took 4 of those. You can't go off of the website, you need to call.

The tread looks a lot like the Toyo R888, and if it holds up like the R888's it would be a bargan at <$200 a tire.

Its the perfect tire for the average HPDE'r, its not a tire where you would use for competition. But for the money its a great tire with really good grip, and wear characteristics. |
