Did you buy the unlocked version or install an unlocked OS. I wanna do this to my iphone so I can sell it once the next gen comes out. Factory Unlocked iPhones go for $400+.

I'm in the same boat... I can't wait to get rid of my 3GS... camera sux, no facetime, and OS is slow compared to IP4. I might have to be a sheep in line the day they are released

luckily ive never had to deal with a line. Always been able to walk in and walk out in under 20 mins…. that is unless i have to talk to a "genius".

i actually purchased it as a locked ATT phone, 1.59bb on launch day. ATT shipped it to my house ~ 11AM. i was dealing with preserving my BB to 1.59 as i was upgrading my iOS just to keep my unlock. then one day i chatted to an O2 csr (uk provider similar to ATT). i asked her to unlock my iphone as i was on business in the USA and wanted to use ATT pay as you go sim. they put my IMEI on the white list. later that night when i synced to iTunes i got this message.. "Congratulations, your iphone is now UNLOCKED" since then i verified it several sim cards (t-mobile, O2, Smart, Globe) and works like a charm. im currently on 4.10bb, 4.33 ios.

I'll more than likely hold off on the phone itself for a while (currently have iPhone4), I'm more interested and anxious for the OS5 update.
