I've read somewhere that it will work on MAC, but to save you some headache, windows is preferred....

How is this cable modified or what for? Reason I ask I got laptop setup with winkfp inpa gt1 and all that good stuff. I have 2 cables (one clear and one blue)they both work with everything but gt1, it identifies my car all my modules but when i go and try to do diagnostics in gt1 it says please wait (for about 5 minutes)and gives me an error something along the lines of diagnostic head or something. Anyway If knew this would work with it I'd get one, any ideas?

I modified this one to detect true ignition. just plug your cable on your laptop only, then open inpa, if the battery and ignition are black then you have a fake detection and your cable is not modded.

but you can still use that on gt1, maybe you didn't setup your gt1 properly.
