Default 2012 Cycling season:D

What are the teams and riders you are looking forward to seeing?

Also, which races can you not wait for?

I want to see how the new Trek team does, as well as how Cavendish does this year as the world champion sprinter.

I cant wait for the Giro de Italia and the Tour de France again! Currently watching the Tour down under in Australia and gotta say, Andre Greipel is a fukkin beast!

I also cant wait for the Olympics and the races that will happen during that time as well

The Tour Down Under stage 3 was a great one!

Some great team work from the Lotto Belisol team, saw Greipel back at the top of the podium. FDJ-BigMat's Yauheni Hutarovich came in a close second and Sky's Edvald Boasson Hagen third.

Phillip Gilbert is overall my favorite rider. I'd like to see him develop this year and see if he wants to tackle a grand tour eventually. See how Boasson Hagen does...huge potential as long as he's injury free. Roman Kreuzinger is also a beast, see Contador focused on the Tour instead of trying to do Giro/Tour double and have Trek/Nissan piss themselves trying to stop him (not gonna happen), see what Cancellara does, he's the only rider i really like on that team for the most part. See what BMC has to bring to the table and what Cadel can pull out of his magic hat this year

Also, which races can you not wait for?

I don't watch as much as I used to but I love watching Flanders, Paris Robaix, Milan San Remo (will watch it live one year), Giro is always a knockout, then of course the Tour and Lombardia

I want to see how the new Trek team does, as well as how Cavendish does this year as the world champion sprinter.

Trek team will do well, no doubt

I cant wait for the Giro de Italia and the Tour de France again! Currently watching the Tour down under in Australia and gotta say, Andre Greipel is a fukkin beast!
Greipel is a beast and I hope he gives Cav a run for his money this year but the best and my favorite sprinter of all time is Cippo and it will always stay so.
Some of the funniest images:

taunting everyone by pretending to smoke

He made the sport colorful, riders today are so bland compared

Greipel is on a tear. But it is January. We'll see how he is against a race ready field come May and July.

Wonder if he is going to go for Classics wins. Cav already said he wants some very specific wins in the rainbow jersey.

I want to see how the Schleck bro's do under Bruyneel. He's already said he's willing to make one to concentrate on the Giro and one on the Tour so that they have success. But I think AC is going to be fully prepared for the Tour this year as he is not going to try for the Giro-Tour double this time. That killed him last year.

Edit: And Abdu was always my favorite sprinter. He was a frickin' animal in the sprints. I like Pettachi too.

Didnt notice you guys

Yea, Greipel really surprised me in todays stage, but come June, we barely hear of him any longer.

Did team Trek Leopard surprise anyone today? I couldnt believe how well they did! Im not so sure about Frandy Schleck since they need to really work on their sprints.

As for fav sprinter, Cavendish is mine

Sure, that would have surprised me! Because they aren't racing!

You mean Radioshack-Nissan, right?

I don't put a lot of stock in this early season stuff. I start to see who is really on when the April classics are in full swing. That's when the Gilberts, Cancellaras and Cavendishes of the peloton show up and expose their form.

My bad I always get them confused but theyre the same team now arent they? I recall a merger happened last year?

Anyways, heres the winner of stage 4 of the TDU

Katusha's Oscar Freire took top honours in stage 4 of the TdU with Gerald Ciolek and Daniele Bennati coming in second and third. BMC's Martin Kohler (pictured) pulls on the leader's jersey.
