Let's see if this really happens. Cost is a major issue and the other deciding factor is how to run the place to gain the greatest benefit. I'm afraid of some money hungry owner ruining the idea of driving because of his dreams of "deep pockets". Nonetheless it would be nice to have a track that we can "test" our/new cars at here in the USA

I'd rather see the time and effort go into make a unique track.

I saw this. It would be cool, but it wouldn't be the nurburgring.
Part of the real ring is the history, being in Germany, being in the mountains with Europeans with crazy cars, being on a public toll road, passing buses and ford transits. That part cannot be recreated. Still, I'd go, I'd play. |

The Nurburgring is a public toll road? No I believe its a Purpose built track. It may have once been a public toll road, or former parts of it may now be public road. But it is in fact, in it's current iteration, a purpose built racing/test track. They just let whoever want's to pay the entrance fee in.
Yeah, only the Northern loop is considered a toll road. And its one way. There is more to the track than the northern loop.
