Default AA Stage 2 - Soon to Come!

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jeff and I have had my 2005 CB M3 for just over a year now. I love it!

For the past year I have continually said "this would be the PERFECT car if it had more power". Well, I think that is about to change! My baby is in for an operation and will emerge with an Active Autowerkes stage 2 kit and CSL headers/cats.

I have done quite a bit of research on this setup. I am hoping to see at least 480whp with a 91 octane map. Is this realistic? I would have gone 93 but I don't want to get stuck with 91 on a road trip.

Will the CSL headers/cats work well with this setup?

I am on a stock clutch until it melts away. I hope it lasts for a little while at least.

I can't wait!!!

480 seems realistic. The meth will make up for the drop in octane. I am shooting for similar numbers soon keep us posted!

That is a beauty that you have! White is my favorite and your mods are perfect

Everything should be ready to go in the next week or so. I will have it dynoed ASAP.

Now the question of boost guages. I subscribed to the boost guages thread so hopefully I can figure that out sooner rather than later!

480 should be easy to hit. Even on 91.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks Kr3st! That is good to hear. I have done quite a bit of research and I just didn't want to get my hopes up. I have heard that the AA stage 2 is capable of 525rwhp, but I assumed that was on 93 octane.

Is your setup tuned for 93 octane? Before you answer that, I will check out your posts so I don't waste your time.

Yessir, it's tune for 93 but that was with their old manifold and my fuel pump taking a crap on me.

I've replaced the in tank fuel pump to an Aeromotive Stealth 340LPH.

I'm sure I'll see over 525rwhp. That's on their heartbreaking mustang dyno.

AA is known to have one of the lowest reading dyno's. So when I put 501 down on a bum fuel pump I was still pretty happy.

That is awesome! Even 501 would be about 550+ on a dynojet. Ridiculous!

I learned about the Generation 7 manifold after my Generation 6 was already installed. Damn! Maybe that can be my next power mod!

Kr3st, I have a noob question. When having my car dynoed, where does the AFR sensor go? I know my rear O2 sensors will be disabled when AA programs my DME. When I raced superbikes, we literally just had the sensor in the muffler.

Also, in terms of boost guages, where do I hook them up? Is it always straight forward? I have never had a FI car before. Is there a spot right on the manifold to hook them up?

You can weld a o2 bung in you section 1 or use the tail pipe. If you are catless it really shouldn't matter much

I will be running csl cats. I wondered if the tail pipe would read leaner than actual? Not much of a difference?
