I take it these P-shocks have the smaller 10mm shaft, hence your comment about using "your old" mounts?? Get this stuff installed already!! I need to order my new setup and I'm dying to hear your review ![]() I think I'm just going with TCKs, though. ![]()

No, they have the 12mm shaft, same as the TCK's. I will use the same 12mm washers on the JT Design mounts. They are rather similar overall. Yeah, my main goal was cost and am having to pay for it with added time getting it all working. Still, for a $120 less, and IF they work well, I will be happy.

You're wrong. This is the image from the RE website.

Makes sense so the nuts don't rip threw the tower as most know. Wish I new earlier. One complete failure and one saved just in time. Definitely cant be ignored. Also have your e36 lower front subframe checked too as mine failed at the same time. Replaced mine with 99 M3 vert. e36 lower front subframe w/ Reinforcement, 3 step kbs and a coat of rustoleum for good measure. Definite over kill but than safer sorry. And now on to the diff mounts.

They came with the cover because it's a P-car, and doesn't have the bumpstop/sleeve like the E36.

Why would I not want a cover for a DD car? Would it not allow excess dirt and road crud to on the shaft and possibly shorten the life of the top seal? I know some gets in there anyway, but this would seem to limit it greatly. The Koni's come complete with bumpstop and the cover. I will put up a pic of the whole shock when I get home tonight. |
