Fortunately his is alive, but barely. He broke his right femur, 9 ribs, his sternum, practically disintegrated both wrists, broke both arms, broke multiple fingers, he shattered his occipital bone, broke his jaw, and the worst road rash I'd ever seen. He had 4 reconstructive surgeries the first 4 days he was in the hospital. They added 19 pounds of metal to his body. He is a computer programmer and they are worried he wont be able to have movement back in his fingers. The hole in the windshield was made by his face.

That looks horrible. How did he hit him to cause that much damage to the windshield with the guy's face. This could be the only time an old person was driving faster than 27mph.

It was essentially a head on collision. The cyclist was going through the intersection at 25mph+/- and the car turned left in front of him.
