Before I start this thread I want to say that I did search and I know what I must do to get the problem fixed. This thread is more of a "guide" for the future as all the other threads on this subject either never got solved, or the OP never updated us when he did find the solution.
Symptoms: +++Keep in mind this "seems" to be happening when the weather is warmer out+++ - Yellow DSC Light - Yellow TPMS Light ( Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor ) - Car will "brake"/"lock" itself prior to the lights coming on. - Car feels a bit "sluggish", but not for certain as it may just be a mental thing. - Will randomly come on. I can turn the car on drive and the lights will be on. Turn the car off and back on "after a while" and they'll be gone, but turn back on after a while. It seems as if the longer I leave the car off the less likely the light is to come on. I.E. overnight and the lights won't turn on for a good while. Now most people are saying that it is a sensor which I'm sure it is, but finding out which one is the problem without getting the codes scanned. Some have had luck replacing/cleaning wheel speed sensors, steering angle sensors, yaw sensors (whatever that may be?). Could be module faults for the TPMS or DSC, bad fuses, relays, etc. A normal code scanner will NOT get you the diagnostic codes. I tried to use my Evolve Software and it didn't work. If anyone wants to clear up what can/can't be used that'd be great. Now my question for those who have the "EXACT" same symptoms as me: Any insight? I will be going to get the codes scanned as soon as I get a chance, but just want to know what I'm in for. If you had the ABS, Brake, or any other light on with this I don't think the problem is the same.

That's an odd set of symptoms. Have you tried cleaning your wheel speed sensors? I had roughly 20 codes stored when I first picked up my car, mostly relating to ABS faults (though no lights) and they returned when cleared; cleaned up the sensors, since that was the free option, and good to go ever since.
I know INPA will read the information from ALL the modules, while the Evolve software will not. Not 100% but if you search around you may be able to get your Evolve cable to work with INPA.

That's a very good idea. I'm going to look into it this weekend. BTW good luck on your own finals!

I only have the occasional DSC and yellow brake light, which some had indicated was faulty sensors. Turns out, diminishing battery was the cause. However, I only had lights, no lose of power or anything else. When you check fault codes, see if you have low voltage as I'm told it causes the sensors to set off

Just for future reference I cleaned the sensors and problem dissipated.

![]() Someone has the same problem as me!! I first got the lights after pulling the oil pan and associated hardware. I ended up dicking around with the steering column. Afterwards I turned on the car and bam, the exact same lights as you and the same symptoms, although mine was just as fast before and after ![]() I changed the battery, no luck. I took it to get scanned with an Autologic, I got: A1 Rotation Rate sensor fault The error would not clear and the car would refuse to recalibrate, which is something that's done when you screw around with the steering column (I'm told...). So, I bought a new yaw sensor and had a very fun time pulling my seat out and finding out that the sensor under the seat is the "speed sensor", not the yaw sensor, and costs a nice $500. I continued my search and found the rotation rate (yaw) sensor. It's close to the latch used to open the hood. I changed it and the problem remains. TL;DR: Have same problem as OP, scanner said it was the Yaw sensor, changed yaw sensor and error continues. I don't know what to do. I'll happily change all 4 wheel/ABS sensors before taking it to the shop and have them 'check all the connections'.

Clean the sensors before you change them. I found mine had a lot of metal bits on them. I pulled off as much as I could with my had and a napkin and then sprayed them with CRC MAF cleaner.

I'm not sure it's one of those because with the car stopped if I turn lock to lock I get the error. Man this DSC thing came at the worst possible time: I had to track the car the following weekend and ended up doing it with no stability control. Great fun, the M3 is a complete pussycat!

anyone? I find it hard to believe no one has had this rotation error on an autologic before
Cleaning hall sensors makes me feel a little crazy. I'll try that but it shouldn't work.
