90 degrees is a quarter of a turn
45 degrees is an eighth
etc...

A better way is to actually measure, with a ruler how much play you get at the outer edge of the drive shaft. Marke it with a grease pencil or scribe, or something then hold the ruler to that mark and roll the drive shaft.
You should be able to tell by looking if the play is in the u-joint, or further into the differential. Let's all hope it is the U-Joint and not a poorly installed pinion.
