Good luck with the resurrection though.

Dropped off some rubber for the CH's today! Picking her up tomorrow! Not sure I'll be sleeping much tonight.

After 3 weeks in the shop, she's back on the road.

Shocks and springs weren't installed, have to go back in 2 weeks to have it installed.

As it sits, it now just needs paint work. Clutch feels great, suspension although stock height feels very stable.

Have a few more small things to address:

1. Intr. trim, looking to have a forum member wrap it with brushed aluminium (not huge on the CF fabric/overlays)
2. Out side window trim needs replacing
3. Temp sensor needs replacing
4. Dent removal, a few door dings that can be taken out
5. drivers side intr. door trim needs replacing
6. Address a annoying engine compartment rattling with Mechanic (sounds like a pulley/belt?)

Nice story and journal. Looking forward to where you take this car in the future. Get that fender repaired/replaced and car detailed. Also lower her ASAP

Started my Paint TLC with the hood this evening. After being away all weekend, being negligent with her needs, I felt compelled to detail.

I am still planning on my front end respray, so this process is my quick wash/polish/wax by hand way.

What we start with, after giving the hood and fenders a nice Microfiber sponge bath (car was already washed 2 days prior and minimal dirt had since collected)

Beginning the ClayBar process on the Hood Only.. WOW was it bad... Took 45min just to get through the hood. After finishing decided Id wait on the Fenders since my hangover was now 48hrs long.

Finished

Now on to Polish, again a by hand process..

Finishing with Mothers Wax

By now the sun had started to really come down, so these next shots don't show the improvement all that much. (also shitty iPhone camera doesn't help)

Tucked away for the rest of the week, will update tomorrow with the Fenders detail..

Both fenders completed today.. My photos are terrible, but with the clay/polish/wax the paint has been massively restored. fenders and hood are pitted heavily.

Glad that you got your car back finally. Looks good so far. I am also impressed with your hand work in cleaning your car. Keep up the good work

Glad to see you're finally reunited with your car, but it sounds like the car was really abused in the 2 years that you were separated from it. Hopefully everything is fine, but I probably would have sold it to play it safe.

Also, shouldn't be polishing and waxing in direct sunlight!

The sun was setting, so I had the car flipped to the shady side!

Im leaving her tucked away for the next 5 days while I go on Vacay. When I get back its off to SouthBay Autohaus for the remaining small sensors, put on my suspension kit, ect. and if I can make a deal on here for a CSL airbox

When all that's done, she's going straight to the body shop for some front end loving.
