Trunk is currently located in Philadelphia, PA. Part was made in Italy.

VAC Motorsports will vouch for this trunk being 100% OEM CSL.

Post #29 & #30 is word from the seller of this piece

I'm putting this up for a friend. He say's it's an OEM CSL Trunk, and I'll take his word for it. It's in a carbon fiber finish and has what seems to be a BMW Part #, saying the part was made in Italy. Any more questions regarding the authenticity of this piece can be taken up with him, I'm just putting it up for sale for him. PM me for further information.

Haha yeah Bret. OEM CSL trunks are not made in Carbon Fiber.

Lol that's what I thought but he says it's got a BMW Part # on the back and made in italy so I'm not 100% sure

Very strange. Never seen that. Little skeptical on that not only because it's in CF, but because all OEM carbon fiber pieces were only made in 1x1, not 2x2. Either way, GLWS!

you're right! I've never noticed the oem csl box was 2x2. Weird since the roof, splitters, trim, door panels, and diffuser on the CSL are all 1x1.

I was questioning that too but the guys over at Vac vouched for the trunk, I'm not sure why they would vouch for something especially since this one isn't so obvious, but I trust their call. They offered to sell it for him with an incentive to them and he figured he would try the forums.

My only guess is that it is indeed an OEM csl trunk and the original owner had it wrapped in CF, hence the actual BMW branding on the inside.
