You know what, the thought did cross my mind. I will verify with ESS again and see if they sent me the right tune. I wonder if the tunes the exact same as the old manifold design. It should be since from what the MOD said about the new design just being for easier installation, being lighter, and having the runners CNC'd a bit better. I just wonder if there is any additional airflow to account for with it though.

Got an email back from ESS. They said that it was incorrect to run colder plugs. Guess I'll swap back to OEM plugs and see if that works.

That's curious(no pun intended). I thought colder plugs were mainly in regards to its ability to dissipate heat to the head. I wouldn't have thought one step colder would have such an impact. Keep us informed. Gluck.

One step colder shouldn't make a big difference, it certainly wouldn't effect off boost performance. A long time ago I turbocharged a Sunfire GT and later on I had a Cobalt SS/SC and it's pretty common to run colder plugs with added cylinder pressure. Even most FI kits for Honda's come with a set of colder NGK plugs.
It must be your coils OR adaptations, keep us posted though.

When ESS flashes the DME, they automatically clear adaptions. Unless maybe they forgot to in this case. Either way if you have a means of checking your values or erasing it, I would try that first.
Goodluck!
