Just thought I would throw a shout out to Sharocks for being correct in my welcome thread. He told me to get new exhaust hangers, I didn't and now my exhaust is sitting on the floor.
Guess I'll pay a bit more attention when i post sh*t up here. |

Your welcome I guess, your exhaust was hanging by like a foot when you posted pics of it.
Replace hangers, maybe replace exhaust at the same time? |

Well, it's bent somewhere now. Inspect the headers and the flanges for cracks and breaks and find out where it deformed. Did it snap the mid-pipe hangers? You probably bent it right back at the triangle flanges.

It dropped a 1/4 mile from my house so I got lucky there. Once I get it up in the air I will check on any damage.

Bent? Unlikely. Cracks in the double walled mid pipes, very likely.

^ ^ Pics...this is a good experiment for us. I'm not sure i've ever seen anyone let them get bad enough to completely snap and let the exhaust hit the ground. We're obviously curious to see where it fails. ![]()

Pics of the exhaust. Don't let this happen to you, parts are cheap! Luckily Autohausaz is 1 day shipping for me since I am local so I will get her back on the road fairly quickly.

exhaust piping is probably fine... might want to think about replacing the hangers in the middle of the system to as they took a good beating when the rears failed.

![]() It WILL crack the double walled mid pipe (the inside layer) if you let it dangle. I'm telling you this from experience. |

already done, baling wiring holding it up at mid-pipe and rear.
I didn't look for any other damage when I was under there, just wanted to get it off the ground in a hurry. |
