B&B Triflow.

SS Race sounds to high pitched/tenor for an M3. B&B gives you that deep bass/growl you're looking for. I have the B&B so that makes me biased by default; but drove behind a SS Race for a few hundred miles on a spirited cruise and didn't like it.

The SS race needs support parts (headers, sec 1/2) for it to sound good. Just an ss race muffler on a stock pieces sounds awful.

Not sure what other mods he had done to it, but I believe he had headers at least. Good to know.

Remember that the video of the El Diablo posted was with stock section 1 and 2. Which means no catalytic converters.

Default Re: Exhaust Advice

So I got a question...

With my obsession to obtaining the perfect tone and my insane amount of setups I've ran in the past, I finally have gotten a good idea of what I am looking for. Currently, I am running AP v2 headers, CPI RT3 Sec 1, OEM 2, SS Race. It sounds great and has a great tone, however, as most SS race owners know the race gives off a high pitched tone that I do enjoy, but could be the only weak point in this muffler (minus the drone). I was looking around for options as to what could give me a deeper/less high pitched sound, yet keeping the same volume/if not the same louder. I like the overall volume and don't want to turn it down.

Now that is out of the way, the Rogue El Diablo seems to be a nice piece to add a deeper tone and great sound. Just by looking at it, it has a much larger resonator than the ss race, so I am afraid to switch it up just to hear the volume has decreased.

Can anyone give some feedback who has experienced both of sound differences, tone, loudness/quietness, etc.? I've heard the el diablo in person many times, but trying to get some feedback on someone who has had both and had some seat time behind them. Oh, and drone doesn't bother me. Thanks in advance.
