Exclamation Escort 8500ci Plus Install

So although I'm considering selling this I'm just wondering where everyone is mounting the radar receiver on there front bumper. Its pretty big and only thing I can think of is mounting it behind my front bumper grill but not sure if it will work as good seeing how the face needs to see the road clearly. Any advice? I just opened it and I'm thinking Ill install it and take it for a test drive.

Contact Escort on Facebook. Aaron runs it and he's an enthusiast on here. He'll help you out for sure.

In the fog light inlet is where I put mine, works fine. The small height difference won't do much.

And yes it is ok to put it behind the bumper.

It definitely can, I've seen it done millions of times.

I don't have this particular radar.

But regardless, it will work from behind the bumper. Unless somehow the aluminum interferes which I doubt.

Many shops install them behind the bumper. Look it up, hell i'm even sure youtube has videos of it.

I have tried looking can't find anything for this radar I'm going to make a DIY video I think. And go find a cop to help me test it
