Default Re: Your recommendations for "full snow" tire?

Thx! Desperate need of spacers probably room for a 5mm rear and 15-20 front but I'll probably wait till winter before getting them. Blizzak lm 25s I think, Oem sizes. Sgt coilovers with camber plates just visually pulled front camber to match the rears since I swap out the whole setup back to Oem in winter and alignment will stay the same.

Lm25s feel like pretty good all season tires. Definite difference from summers but with the pressure cranked up to 38 the response is fantastic. I've let a few people drive my car and told them after they are winters and they were pretty shocked.

I cant think of running ugly winter wheels on my m3 since I bought it as a dd/family car and winters are around 5 months . I think it looks pretty sweet for a winter setup

There are probably more combo's available in 225/45/18 front and 245/40/18 rear. That's what I'm running with Pirelli Winter Sottozero Serie II.
Good handling, works very well in snow and cold. Tire Rack.

Most people seem to run 18s for snow tires. Are 19s bad?

IMO it all depends on what you can afford. We didn't have a bad winter up here last year so I can't honestly say they are amazing in deep snow. I think it's pretty awesome running Oem sizes on a 19 and looking awesome through the bad weather while everyone else is looking fugly on steelies and balloon tires.

Tim width or tire width will affect your ability to cut through the deep snow more than rim size.

Few pics I dug up. In light snow blizzaks were amazing.

I wonder how they are in deeper snow compared to Blizzaks on 18s. I've heard 18s are better in snow since they're smaller but I wonder how much better.

I'm running 19" Bridgestone Blizzaks LM60 as my winter setup. I have separate set of M6 reps with 225/40 and 255/35. Third winter - no probl

the ideal set up for winter wheels are narrow 17s...the narrower tire acts almost like skis in that there's less resistance when cutting thru the snow. +1 on the blizzaks.
