Definitely listen to the middle and east-coast Canadians - having driven 8 solid winters north of the border myself, I can safely say that they're connoisseurs of winter tire performance.

Sorry, but you BC'ers are outta the loop on this one..

P.S. I'm not fond of the Blizzaks compared to others -- I'll be the first to say that they're very average performers for the price category in which they reside - for any price, actually.

What criteria are you using?

That looks gorgeous! Embarrasses the racecarbro posse in here on their 18s even in the winter! Front tire looks like a good stretch compared with how the Oem sizes fit the 9.5!

Geographical location, mainly... BCers just get much nicer weather.

I have 18's with Michelin Alpina for sale in the for sale forum. Through my research, the skinnier the tire, the better. Thus why 18's are supposed to be better for snow. Michelin Alpina were rated higher than blizzacks on tire rack, and slightly higher priced. I would honestly say I never heard a single complaint of blizzacks. I only went with Michelin because the M3 was my first RWD car and a DD.

Well, you say the blizzaks are average. Compared to what and how?
