Default M3 or a Porsche

I need your advice guys please to choose between 2 cars:

1- 2002 silver E46 M3 with 89k miles, well maintained.

2- 1995 baby blue Porsche carrera 911/ 993/ 2nd owner for the last 12 years, also well maintained, 95k miles.

M3 is 15k and the porsche he accepted an offer of 19k.

Have you driven both yet? I'm a huge 911 fan, so I'd lean towards a Porsche if and only if this is to be used as a weekend car, but not that Porsche. It's age and color combo aren't exactly what I want out of a sports car. If however you are shopping for a new DD, the M3 is much better suited IMO. The M3 is a much more modern car, that Porsche will seem very dated in comparison.

I agree with you, the Porsche is for weekends driving and the M3 you can drive it everyday but since I have an 04 330ci, it will be also the same as the Porsche.
A picture link of the 330ci:

My favorite Porsche!

Consider maintenance? M3 is much more DIY friendly.

Id go with the M3, the Porsche DIY factor is low and I think the maintenance could get expensive. Beyond that I think the M3 is a much better ride on a daily basis.

If a weekend car I'd definitely get the porsche. They are for different purposes, the m3 can be a DD, and the 911..well its more the fun toy you get for your sunday drive.

The m3 would be a better car if you plan to drive it.
