Default What's Up M3 Forum O|||||||O Edition

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted a Wrangler but always talked myself out of them in some way. Too bad on gas, not practical enough, too much money for what you get etc. But I'll be damned if I didn't drool at every one I've seen. I now work as purchased services for Chrysler and a buddy got me a full employee discount. I figure now is the perfect time especially since M3F is on a buying spree, I couldnt' miss out on the excitement. I drove quite a few different variations like 2 door vs 4, sport vs Sahara vs Rubicon, and finally made a choice.
I ordered the model I wanted and off it went to be built in Toledo.

Enough words, here's my new tank! 2014 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon X (JKURX)

As far as driving impressions go, it's no road car. This thing handles the monster potholes over here like nothing. The suspension is really fun and absorbent for normal driving. I've climbed a few random curbs, small dirt mounds, and dirt roads with nothing but a big smile on my face. It really is an experience and I can see why so many people love them.

I love the Unlimited body with the body colored top. Great choice. Prepare to not lose any money in depreciation.

Congrats - enjoy it - tons of fun.

Check constantly under the right rear passenger mat - especially after it rains.

I think there is a fix if you search the forums.

Mine was piss wet through all the time - also a least one other member here had the same issue.

Also this. It was the least depreciating car I've ever owned. SRS.

Thanks, with all of the fun color, top, and fender options, it wasn't that easy to choose something. I really love this car in any color but had a hard time choosing black vs anvil color. I like the body colored top a lot and chose to keep the fenders plastic since they'll better match the bumpers and rock rails. In the end you can't go wrong with any combo from what I've seen.

Definitely not the world's best built car haha but you sacrifice some things for the overall experience. Thanks for the heads up since this is the first time I've heard of it!

This is one of the big driving factors as well behind my purchase. This 'special edition' model also isn't going to be flooding the used car lots so I figure that combined with the employee discount will leave me in a great place if I decide to sell or upgrade to the new model in a few years.

The 2 door's are awesome too. So small they turn on a dime and are much peppier than the 4! I laughed when I found out the 2 door was shorter than my e46.

Some of the more recent updates like black dash and other little things really made the car more attractive to me. The hood is the Rubi X hood which comes with the package I got. Along with it I get the steel front and rear bumpers, red tow hooks for +50whp, and a few other small accents throughout the car.
