Default Mid-atlantic BMW owners

This is not BMW related; so, the moderators may tow it. But, if you are considering purchasing a pet or know of someone that is, just a little note to consider "adoption" first. A website I have previously used in the past is:

www.petfinder.com -- input the breed and zip code and it will locate those around you.

Many of these pets will be euthanized if no homes are found. A local NoVA one is here:

http://www.homewardtrails.org/howtoadopt.html

I know this is not about BMW's -- but, I think we are fortunate to be able to drive a BMW. Many people spend $600+ on a pet to purchase one; but, for around $150.00 you can adopt one and save a life. A pet is a wonderful thing as many of you know. If you are considering a pet as a gift, or, an additional housemate, I would like to suggest adoption.

Many of the animals have excellent temperaments. There are some heatbreaking stories. For instance,

If I ever found those people that "ripped" off the tail :mad :mad :mad

http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?act...=0&tmpl=&stat=

Here is another one -- he is blind, so many people would never want to adopt him.

So, please consider adoption in this season. Many of these animal shelters see a huge increase in numbers during this winter season.

Thanks

p.s. -- you can drive your BMW to pick up your new pet
