Default Avalonmotorsports releases the new ALCON BBK for the e46 M3 + Custom M Diffs

First we would like to Thank M3Forum's for allowing us to become a supporting vendor.

We have been working closely with Stasis Engineering to create the Ultimate in braking performance package for the e46 M3, and we think we have found that with this ALCON kit.

We have been using the same type of package on our 500hp B5 S4 that has won the Euro-Tuner GP Shootout and Dub Wars.

Read more about the EuroTuner shootout

ALCON Big Brake Kit e46 M3

Front:
  • 6 piston monobloc caliper, with differential size pistons for even
pad wear and excellent feel characteristics.
  • 360x32mm ventilated (48 vane) discs for increased braking torque over
standard M3 brake as well as improved thermal capacity and cooling, enabling the car to be used to its full potential on the track.
  • Discs mounted to aluminum bells to reduce unsprung weight.
  • Pagid RS9-1 pads with increased area over standard, increased friction
compared to standard as well as increased fade resistance.
  • Caliper adaptor brackets, and braided hoses included, with the latter contributing to a good firm pedal compared with a system using compressible
    rubber hoses.

Rear:
  • 4 piston monobloc caliper, with differential size pistons for even pad wear and excellent feel characteristics.
  • 343x28mm ventilated (48 vane) discs for increased braking torque over
standard M3 brake as well as improved thermal capacity and cooling, enabling
the car to be used to its full potential on the track.
  • Discs rigidly mounted to iron bells which accommodate the OE handbrake
    (drum) mechanism.
  • Pagid RS9-1 pads with increased area over standard, increased friction
compared to standard as well as increased fade resistance.
  • Caliper adaptor brackets and braided hoses included, with the latter
contributing to a good firm pedal compared with a system using compressible
    rubber hoses.

Price: 5895.00

Note: This system is balanced for the stock master cylinder and maintains the factory e-brake.

What piston sizes are they using in the front 6 pot an the rear 4 pot?

Are the fronts 32, 35, 38mm? and the rear 30 and 32?

The smalled piston I can find that Alcon makes is a 30mm, so to fit a differential sized rear you'd need a 30 and 32 on the rear, the next closest size? Or do they offer a 26mm or 28mm now also?

If I assume a Monobloc6 with 32/35/38mm front and Monobloc4 rear 30/32mm rear, my calculations on those disks yield almost exactly the same bias front to rear as the stock, but with a huge 40-45% brake torque increase which would mean you'd have a ton of pedal travel and it wouldn't be very firm?

See what you can find out. I don't think I have the right piston diameter for these calipers.

Also what is the difference, if any between the Statis kit and Alcon's own kit?

Like these?

Stasis is Alcon distributor, are they just reselling Alcons kit? If not, what is different from the Stasis kit and Alcon's?
