Question Question for E46 M3 owners that have kids

Hey fellas:
Quick question for you M3 owners that are family men. Does a baby seat fit in the back seat of your M3? Obviously it will need to be rear facing, rear seat placement for awhile.

I am in the market for a convertible M3 (2003 or newer) and will lilely get it early August, but my first born is expected in September. Although will be using SUV as main baby transport, will need car seat in back of M occassionally.

And yes, I tried searching the forums already on this question (somethings up with the server that won't return any results on this subject).

Any advice appreciated. Thanks

I would talk to a dealer about this. They probably even sell baby seats specifically made for the M3/3 series.

From what ive heard and what i can pretty much estimate on my own is that you can fit a baby seat. Hopefully someone in here can give you a answer that isnt an estimate

Yes Im pretty sure the lugs are set up in the back parcelshelf to take a baby seat regardless if facing towards or away. Unsure if BMW sell a babyseat but Im more than sure that they will be able to recommend a supplier.

Congrats on the baby.

I have a liitle girl & the baby seat fits in the back just fine! Even though she's only been back there a couple of times.

All the connectors you need for any kind of baby seat are back there. The only possible issue is that with a rear-facing infant seat, there's a limit on how far back you can have the front seat, but unless you're very tall this should not be a problem.

Yep, baby seat would be fine. Just the passenger seat will not go all the way back but still plenty of leg space for the mother. Perfect family car with bit of spice.
