Default 1,200 mile service

Guys I am bringing my 05 m3 in for the 1,200 mile service. Is there anything I need to have them do? The only problem I have had with the car has been a rough idle upon starting. It only lasts about 30 seconds than goes away. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

The rough idle is normal. I have a service appointment on tuesday. Did you ever go over 5500rpm? I did quite a few times and am a little scared.

I redlined my car a bunch of times during the break-in & they didn't say anything to me. Then again, my dealership told me not to break the car in...good thing I read this forum & the owner's manual, otherwise I would have driven like a maniac from the get go.

I only went as far as 5800rpm. I babied the shite out of her for the first 600m miles. I guess I should be alright

My dealer just told me not to abuse the car while it's still breaking in. I still went to 7k rpms a few times, and well over 105Mph. I'm at 6500 miles now and the car runs great! Some people say it's actually good to give the engine a few high spurts during break-in. One good way to tell if you've done damage is to check your mpg, if it keeps getting a little better then it's been broken in right.
